Everything sci-fi, comic books, movies, video games, cartoons and anything a geek would love gets tossed around by the 5-headed hairy hoard of Black Tribbles. We reveal untold stories of geek history, showcase new and upcoming projects, engage in thought-provoking conversation and provide critical insight into a culture that is often devoid of a black influence; all with a humorous irreverent tone that delights as it educates.

The show has built an intense fanbase, predicated on the conceit that listeners give themselves a Tribble designation in line with those of the hosts. Thus we have a legion of tribbles following every show: iTribble, Q Tribble, Diva Moon Tribble, Night Tribble, Poppa Smurf Tribble, E=MC2 Tribble, Ota Tribble, Chubby Tribble, Godly Tribble - the legion grows everyday!

Who Are The Black Tribbles? The Black Tribbles Podcast - Too Cool to Be Geeks, Too Cute to Be Nerds

Len Webb aka Bat Tribble: Unlike Bruce Wayne, Len is not a billionaire playboy. However they both are much older than they appear and hide a devilish identity beneath an unassuming veneer.

Len Webb
Bat Tribble

Unlike Bruce Wayne, Len is not a billionaire playboy. However they both are much older than they appear and hide a devilish identity beneath an unassuming veneer. Len grew up with an insatiable love of comic books and animation, the world of DC Comics' Batman capturing his imagination the most (a devotion emblazoned on Len's right shoulder). Because of his long freelance career that has seen Len, using the pseudonym 'Cruze', produce 2 published comic strip series, a critically acclaimed children's book, 7 original children's stage productions, scripts for an award-winning documentary series and two previous successful G-Town Radio programs, his fellow hosts often refer to him as 'The Gray Tribble.' Disrespectful 'whupper-snappers' is what they be!

Erik Darden aka Master Tribble: Erik ('Mack' to his friends and family) is a consummate performer out of Philadelphia, with a background touching everything from stand-up comedy to music production.

Master Tribble

Erik ('Mack' to his friends and family) is a consummate performer out of Philadelphia, with a background touching everything from stand-up comedy to music production. Since 2004, when he earned a theatre degree from Howard University, Erik has been voraciously searching for any and every avenue to feed his inner artist. His most recent outlet is screenwriting and film-making, launching AMD Entertainment in 2010. Currently the film producer is readying a controversial documentary feature for release in the coming months. In early 2011 he was approached by his friend Len Webb on the topic of a starting a podcast. And they have been making beautiful nerdy music together ever since.

Kennedy Allen aka TribbleStorm/Storm Tribble: When Len Webb first met with his former improvisational comedy cast-mate Kennedy Allen about joining the Tribbles, he predicted that she would be a break-out star of the broadcast.

When Len Webb first met with his former improvisational comedy cast-mate Kennedy Allen about joining the Tribbles, he predicted that she would be a break-out star of the broadcast. Kennedy is blessed with an impeccable sense of comedic timing, a wealth of insane personalities, an über rich knowledge of space, technology and all things Star Trek and the cojones to stand out in any pack she travels. Her diverse educational background in the suburbs and inner-city of Philadelphia readied Kennedy for anything and everything. A veteran of the famed Comedy Sportz franchise, Kennedy now turns her talents to the theatric stage, where her light will shine as bright as the dilithium crystals in her back pocket will allow.

Randy Green aka Super Tribble: Look up in the sky and you won't see a red cape but you will see the tallest Tribble, all six feet and five inches of Randy Green. Raised by a family of cops, Randy stayed on the straight and narrow path in his childhood.

Super Tribble

Look up in the sky and you won't see a red cape but you will see the tallest Tribble, all six feet and five inches of Randy Green. Raised by a family of cops, Randy stayed on the straight and narrow path in his childhood. But his days at Penn State, they were the same except he put aside his beloved comic books and fell head over heels for the kinetic primal drug called hip-hop. Thus, R-SON The Voice of Reason was born, a wise rhyming scholar who dishes verses upon verses of polysyllabic doctrine infused with four colors, Jack Kirby swatches and kryptonite for all non-believers. When his stint as a guest rapper on Len Webb's The REC Radio Show revealed Randy's worship of the Superman mythos, it was concluded that he would make an excellent Black Tribble. Duties as Assistant Manager at the local comic shop Comics & More and resident 'Big Guy' at some local night-clubs make Randy's in-studio appearances rare treats but his weekly phone call-in's have a way of punctuating every conversation just right. Looks like a job for...

Jason Richardson
Spider Tribble

A thirst for knowledge has never failed Jason as he's been taking apart appliances, computers and anything that isn't nailed down since he was 5 years-old. Born of Jamaican descent in Philadelphia, 'Jay' developed a love of video games and the equally bright colored spectacle of Japanese animation. The influence led him in 2008 to create his very own multimedia production house, J1 Studios (www.j1studios.com), fine distributor of the Angel Savior comic book series and original video games and soundtracks to come. Jay became the 'fifth' Tribble at the request of his drinking buddy and fellow geek Kennedy Allen where his acerbic wit and charm have made it seem like he was here all the time. Whether that's a good thing or not has yet to be determined.
