Do
you remember the last Olympics on television? I don't either,
but I do remember the heady days of the face off between "Mother
Russia" and "Our Boys (and girls) from the US of A" back in the 80's,
when they would have this patriotic, heart-jerking recap of what each
of the super teams had accomplished through determination, hard work,
and competition. It gave you viewpoint of each side and "set
the table" for the upcoming clash.
That
is exactly what's happening inside of this episode of "The Shield."
There
is a war coming, and instead of just two, distinct and clearly drawn
"sides", we have Team VicMackey, Team ShaneVendrell, and a number of
x-factor variables that will be pushing both teams back and forth in
the upcoming final season of The Shield next year.
The
other proof-positive point inside of this episode is the ability of
characters to put on masks when needed. Each of the main
characters, and several of the supporting cast, are quick to put on
masks that will help them secure a variety of "goals" that will vault
them into the next season of "The Shield", which is promising to be
one of the best-ever finales for a television series.
Will
Vic lose his job? Will Hiatt be back? Will Shane and Vic
have a face-off for the final time? Will the Armenians come to
exact revenge regarless of they have told Shane? Will there be
a final clash between the ByzLats and The Salvadorans that will rock
Farmington?
Believe it or not, there are probably triple the amount of questions
compared to what I've listed above that are due to be answered in the
next and final season of "The Shield" coming up next year. Be
sure to listen and review the Overcast of this 10th episode of the
