The Adventure Begins:
1981 Was a Very Good Year
Just about everyone has seen "Raiders of the Lost Ark" - whether it's on cable television recently, on DVD, or in the theaters those many years ago, it was one of the most influential movies for Mike Wilkerson, 1 of 2GuysTalking can remember.  A short 4 minutes while gulping down a soda pop and a box of snowcaps after the movies credits rolled (that were watched, like they are watched in their entirety today), Mike jumped into his friend's fathers minivan and began reliving the scenes they'd just finished watching in their techni-color glory.  The lines, the effects, the acting - all were marveled and talked about by 2 young Guys.  Many other films followed after that one and each were revisited in a parent's vehicle - by at least 2GuysTalking.

Another Adventure Begins:
What in the Hell is a Podcast?
Coworkers continue to talk about their favorite television shows, movies and entertainment experiences and Mike Wilkerson's workplace was no exception.  One show that was spotlighted during 2005 with a variety of coworkers was the hit Fox show, "24" - chronicling the adventures of Jack Bauer as his continued his battle against international terror, spies and those who would do us harm.  This continued from season 4 of the show into season 5 during which Mike and a coworker, Brian, one day thought it would be cool to record and showcase the "conversations about Jack Bauer" to people that might also enjoy talking about "24" in a "talk show format" in something called "a podcast".  With a whopping listenership of 80, Mike and Brian continued to entertain many with "The 2GuysTalking: 24 Podcast" and one day received an Email from a gentleman who said he was "the production designer from 24, Joseph Hodges."

"Yeah, right..." they thought.

Well, it was.  Shortly after receiving that Email, they developed a great comradeship with Joseph, he appeared on a series of interviews that changed the nature of what happens with "2GuysTalking" taking their listenership to 10s of thousands of worldwide listeners and suddenly, the "2GuysTalking" concept was taken to an all new and different level.  Joseph continues to work to make "24" some of the best television and provide 2GuysTalking with great information and 2GuysTalking welcome him and others as they review some of today's greatest television shows.  Whether it's the quick review of Jack Bauer's adventures in the hit Fox show "24" via their "24 in 60!" or the detailed ramblings of 2GuysTalking that are clearly infatuated with the fate that we make in the new TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles via "The TERMINATOR Podcast", 2GuysTalking Podcast continues to be a very well-attended show with thousands listening weekly. That televised love has now continued to Showtime's DEXTER, and TRUE BLOOD on HBO.

This "traffic" that The 2GuysTalking Podcast (in it's many incarnations) provides a constant stream of traffic, creating a perfect steam of life for the growing number of supplemental podcasts on the Network.  It is this "traffic", created by The 2GuysTalking Podcast that provides current and future podcasts a great opportunity to jump into a great and diverse listenerbase - thereby continuing the cycle of taking good things, putting them together with other good things to make something greater.
